
The European Academy of Sciences established the Blaise Pascal Medal in 2003 to recognise an outstanding and demonstrated personal contribution to science and technology and the promotion of excellence in research and education. Up to six medals may be awarded in any one year.
Nomination Procedure:
1. Nominations for the Blaise Pascal Medal, in their Division, are invited from Fellows, or Honorary Members of The Academy.
2. Members or non-members of the European Academy of Sciences are eligible.
3. The Award will consist in a Medal and a Certificate.
4. The Medal recognises an outstanding and demonstrated personal contribution to science and technology and the promotion of excellence in research.
5. The final vote is taken by the General Board on the nominee presented first by the Scientific Committee of the Division, and other nominations.
To nominate a candidate, the complete form and supporting documentation in accordance with the rules indicated on the form must be sent to: contact@eurasc.eu
Nominations should be sent to the secretariat by email before 15th of January; all compliant processes should be handed over to the Head of Division by 31st January; every Division must have their nominee chosen by February 28th; votes within the General Board should be completed by March 31st); results should be made public in May.
