The European Academy of Sciences is delighted to announce that Prof. Francesco Stellacci, Fellow of the Materials Science Division, has been awarded a highly prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant 2025 – Call 2024.
Based at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Prof. Stellacci is internationally recognised for his pioneering contributions to nanoscience and materials innovation. His ERC-funded project, ProteISM – Engineering Protein Interactions Using Small Molecules, aims to develop transformative approaches to controlling protein interactions. This ambitious research promises to deliver fundamental insights with far-reaching implications for medicine, biotechnology, and materials science.
