The European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) has recently been informed of fraudulent email messages being sent to several of our members. These emails impersonate Prof. Rodrigo Martins, President of EurASc, using deceptive email addresses such as presidenteurasc@gmail.com
.
The scam emails typically include vague and misleading phrases like:
“Hello [Name],
How are you doing today?
Please can you help the board with something today? Let me know so I can send you some more information.”
These are phishing attempts designed to exploit the trust placed in EurASc’s leadership and must be disregarded immediately.
