Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi is the Founder and President of the University for Business and Technology (UBT) in Kosovo, an institution he has led since its establishment in 2001. With a multidisciplinary academic background in engineering, information technology, and system management, he earned his doctorate from the Vienna University of Technology and has held postdoctoral research roles at City University London. Under his visionary leadership, UBT has evolved into a premier institution for higher education, research, and innovation in the region.

Prof. Hajrizi has over two decades of experience at the intersection of academia, industry, and public policy. He has contributed extensively to the development of smart and sustainable innovation ecosystems, led numerous EU-funded projects, and served as a consultant to international organizations including the World Bank and the European Commission. His teaching and research span intelligent manufacturing, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship, with academic engagements at several renowned institutions, including the Vienna University of Technology and the Technical University of Sofia.

He is an award-winning leader recognized by the European Organization for Quality, ACEEU, and several international universities. Prof. Hajrizi serves on multiple advisory boards and scientific committees, and is a dedicated advocate for quality assurance, entrepreneurial education, and technology-driven growth. His work continues to shape the higher education landscape in Southeast Europe and beyond.
