Prof. Guo-Hua Hu is Professor of Polymer Engineering at the University of Lorraine, France, where he leads research on polymer processing, nanocomposites, and rheology of complex fluids. His work bridges fundamental understanding and industrial applications, particularly in the development of advanced materials through melt processing techniques and nano-engineering of polymer matrices.
Prof. Hu has contributed extensively to the field of polymer science, with over 320 scientific publications, many plenary and keynote lectures, and active participation in international collaborative projects. He has served on editorial boards of respected journals and is recognised for his research on the interfacial and rheological properties of nanostructured systems.
He was elected Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) in the Engineering Division, and is widely regarded as a key figure in polymer engineering in Europe.
Prof. Guo-Hua Hu has served as Officer of the Engineering Division since May 2025, for the mandate May 2025 – April 2028 (current and first term, in accordance with the EurASc Bylaws).
