Prof. Maria Antonietta Loi Elected to the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina

The European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) warmly congratulates Prof. Maria Antonietta Loi, Member of the Academy and Professor at the University of Groningen, on her election to the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina.
Founded in 1652, the Leopoldina is the oldest academy of sciences in Germany and one of the most prestigious scientific institutions worldwide, bringing together leading researchers to provide independent advice on key societal challenges.
Prof. Loi has been recognised for outstanding contributions to materials science, physics, and optoelectronics, particularly in advancing the understanding and application of organic semiconductors, quantum dots, and perovskite-based technologies. Her work has significantly contributed to the development of next-generation solutions in energy, sensing, and electronic devices.
This election represents a distinguished recognition of scientific excellence and international impact.
