Inter-Academic Relations Working Group
In 2025, the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) established the Inter-Academic Relations Working Group as part of its strategic objective to reinforce institutional dialogue and expand collaboration with peer academies and international scientific networks.
The Working Group is coordinated by Prof. Armando J. L. Pombeiro and was created following discussions within the Academy’s governing bodies regarding the need to strengthen EurASc’s structured engagement at the European and global levels.
The Inter-Academic Relations Working Group is entrusted with:
- Reinforcing EurASc’s institutional links with other national and international academies;
- Promoting coordinated representation of the Academy in inter-academic initiatives;
- Identifying opportunities for joint scientific activities, policy dialogue, and collaborative statements;
- Supporting the development of sustainable academic partnerships aligned with EurASc’s objectives;
- Enhancing EurASc’s visibility and recognition within the global scientific community.
The initiative reflects the Academy’s mission, as defined in its Statutes, to promote European scientific research while fostering international cooperation and strengthening collaboration between scientists, institutions, and public authorities.
Through structured institutional engagement and long-term strategic partnerships, the Inter-Academic Relations Working Group aims to consolidate EurASc’s role as an active and respected contributor to international scientific dialogue and cooperation.
