Each year, the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) upholds its tradition of celebrating scientific achievement through the EurASc Symposium & Ceremony of Awards, held (usually) in late October at a European university or institution. This prestigious event serves as a platform to honor outstanding scientists for their contributions across diverse disciplines and to foster scientific dialogue and collaboration.

The Ceremony of Awards is complemented by a one-day scientific symposium, bringing together leading researchers, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss a topic of broad scientific and societal interest. The symposium is designed to engage a multidisciplinary audience, featuring EurASc Fellows and distinguished guest speakers who share their insights on critical scientific challenges and advancements.

Beyond its academic scope, the event also provides a unique interface between research and industry, with select presentations from applied research leaders showcasing how scientific discoveries evolve into real-world innovations. This exchange of ideas strengthens collaborations between academia, industry, and policymakers, furthering the Academy’s mission to advance scientific progress in Europe and beyond.

EurASc is now accepting proposals from European universities and research institutions interested in hosting the next EurASc Symposium & Ceremony of Awards.
