Strategic Communication Working Group
In 2024, the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) established the Strategic Communication Working Group as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional effectiveness, visibility, and member engagement.
This initiative followed constructive discussions during the General Assembly, where the importance of enhancing the Academy’s communication practices was highlighted. In response, a dedicated Working Group was formed to develop a structured and forward-looking communication strategy aligned with EurASc’s mission and governance framework.
The Working Group is composed of:
- Prof. Mioara Mandea
- Prof. Katharina Kohse-Höinghaus
- Prof. Shahzada Ahmad (Coordinator)
Mandate and Objectives
The Strategic Communication Working Group has been entrusted with:
- Reviewing current internal and external communication practices;
- Identifying areas for improvement in digital presence and information flow;
- Proposing concrete measures to strengthen outreach and visibility;
- Enhancing engagement with Members and the broader scientific community;
- Supporting the long-term positioning of EurASc within the European and global research landscape.
The creation of this Working Group reflects the Academy’s commitment to continuous improvement and structured governance. It also aligns with the broader effort to establish focused committees aimed at addressing specific strategic challenges within the framework defined by the EurASc Statutes and Bylaws.
Through coordinated planning and collaborative work, the Strategic Communication Working Group aims to contribute to a more visible, coherent, and impactful Academy.
