Institutional Agreements
The European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) establishes formal cooperation frameworks with academic institutions, research organisations, scientific networks, and international bodies in furtherance of its mission to promote excellence in science and international collaboration.
These agreements may take the form of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or other formal Cooperation Arrangements and are designed to foster joint scientific initiatives, institutional dialogue, and strategic collaboration.
All agreements are concluded in accordance with the Statutes and governance procedures of the Academy.

Asia–Pacific Center of EurASc – Hefei, China
Scope of Cooperation:
Establishment of the Asia–Pacific Center of EurASc as a strategic platform to strengthen scientific collaboration between Europe and the Asia–Pacific region. The Center promotes academic exchange, joint research initiatives, and interdisciplinary cooperation, particularly in advanced materials, energy, information technologies, and related scientific domains.
The agreement was concluded in accordance with EurASc’s Statutes and governance procedures.
Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC)
Scope of Cooperation:
Promotion of bilateral scientific cooperation across multiple scientific domains, including organisation of joint scientific events, exchange of expertise, dissemination of knowledge, and establishment of a joint steering committee to define priority areas of collaboration.
The agreement was concluded in accordance with EurASc’s Statutes and governance procedures.


EIT RawMaterials (EIT RM)
Scope of Cooperation:
Framework agreement to explore strategic collaboration in the materials sector, including upskilling and reskilling initiatives, innovation support, academic–industry cooperation, and development of European expertise in critical raw materials and advanced materials.
The MoU establishes a non-binding cooperation framework without financial obligations, in accordance with EurASc’s governance procedures.
Academia das Ciências de Lisboa (ACL), Portugal
Scope of Cooperation:
Bilateral scientific cooperation across multiple disciplines, including engineering, physics, chemistry, earth sciences, medicine, mathematics, computational sciences, materials science, arts and humanities, and socio-economic sciences.
The agreement provides for exchange of scholars, joint scientific activities, and the establishment of a steering committee to define priority areas of collaboration.
