Membership Information
Membership of the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) recognises outstanding scientific achievement and international peer distinction.
Election to the Academy is based exclusively on scientific excellence, international recognition, and significant contributions to science and technology.
Nomination Process
Only Fellows (Active Members*) of EurASc may nominate candidates for membership.
*Active Members are:
- Elected Members who have paid their annual membership due; and
- Members exempt from payment of the annual due, namely Honorary Members and Emeritus Members (above 80 years of age).
Nominations must be submitted to the EurASc Secretariat through:
- The personal Members’ Area (preferred method), or
- By email to: contact@eurasc.eu
Nominations may be submitted at any time during the year.
However, as elections are organised according to specific divisional voting periods, complete nomination files must be received at least during the month preceding the election month, in order to allow the Division’s Scientific Committee sufficient time to evaluate the candidate before submission to the General Board for vote.
e.g.: If the election for a given Division takes place in May, the complete nomination file must be submitted no later than April.
