EurASc By-Elections 2026 – Call for Candidatures

The European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) is pleased to announce the opening of the Call for Candidatures/Nominations within the framework of the EurASc By-Elections 2026, to fill vacant positions within selected Divisions.

These elections represent an important opportunity for Active Members to contribute to the leadership, governance, and scientific direction of their respective Divisions.


Open Positions

Materials Science Division

  • 1 Scientific Committee Member (Division Officer)

Earth & Environmental Sciences Division

  • 1 Head of Division (HoD)
  • 2 Scientific Committee Members (Division Officers)

Mathematics Division

4 Scientific Committee Members (Division Officers)

  • 1 Scientific Committee Member (Division Officer)

Eligibility Criteria

Only Active Members of the European Academy of Sciences are eligible to submit candidatures, nominate candidates, and participate in the voting process.

Members seeking election or re-election must comply with the provisions established in the Academy’s regulations, including applicable term limits.


Duration of Mandates

All elected positions carry a three-year mandate, in accordance with the Academy’s Statutes and Bylaws.

Call for Candidatures
15 April – 30 April 2026

Validation of Candidacies
1 May – 5 May 2026

Voting Period
7 May – 20 May 2026

Announcement of Results
25 May 2026

Start of Mandate
1 June 2026


Submission of Candidatures

Candidatures must be submitted using the official candidature form, duly completed and sent to the EurASc Secretariat within the candidature period.

Members may:

  • submit their own candidature, or
  • nominate another eligible member (subject to their acceptance)
