Biography

Synthesis of carbon nanotubes, in particular double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWNT), this research is Internationally acknowledged. Development of biomedical applications of CNTs, initially focusing on the study of their toxicity/environmental impact. The fields of application extend to nanocomposite materials, energy, nanoelectronics. More recent work on carbon nanomaterials in general by extending the research to graphene and its derivatives. Activity at the interface between chemistry on the one hand (purification, surface functionalization including the grafting of fluorescent probes or biologically active molecules) and biology on the other hand - allows me to occupy a unique position in my field of research which has earned me international recognition. Research in strong interaction with the Humanities and Social Sciences since 2013, in particular with Sociology and Law.
