Professor Ubaldo Armato is the Director of the Human Histology & Embryology Unit, Department of Life & Reproduction Sciences, University of Verona Medical School, Verona, Italy. He graduated in Medicine & Surgery, maxima cum laude , at the University of Padua Medical School, Padua, Italy. He has been Visiting Researcher at the Department of Bacteriology and Immunology, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, London, UK, and at the Institute for Biological Sciences, National Research Council of Canada, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. His research interests encompass the proteomic and biochemical mechanisms of Alzheimer's Disease pathogenesis and of human papillomavirus cervical oncogenesis as well as in vitro and in vivo testing of innovative biomaterials for human skin, cartilage, and bone regeneration. He is the co-owner of six patents. He communicated the results of his work at international and national Meetings. He has authored 117 between papers and book chapters and two scores of science-disseminating books. Professor Armato served one Mandate as Scientific Officer of the EurASc Medicine and Life Sciences Division from December 2015 to November 2018.
